EdXR: Proposal for TUM Future Learning Initiative

EdXR: Proposal for TUM Future Learning Initiative

The TUM Future Learning Initiative started again on 10 March 2025.

Since 2020, this competition has been established to encourage and promote innovative projects that foster dynamic, competence-oriented, and future-focused education at TUM. It seeks to address several critical questions: What new educational formats are necessary? What offerings are currently lacking at TUM? Which innovative strategies will effectively enable us to tackle the challenges of our era?

This year, we have decided to take part in the competition from the perspective of XR technology: how can the use of XR technology improve teaching at TUM?

Under the tentative project name EdXR, we intend to submit a proposal outlining how XR can be incorporated into teaching, how study and teaching at TUM will benefit from its implementation and how it can benefit as many people in the TUM community as possible.

This project is still in the early planning stage. We welcome any suggestions from our XR community.
